Welcome to my page!
My name is John Bastiaansen, I live in the south of the Netherlands and I collect fossils. This page is ment for everyone who is, just like me, fascinated by these petrified remains of life from times long past. Besides this I am interested in trading fossils with other collectors.
I'm NOT a professional collector, it's just one of my hobbies. I usually collect fossils in The Netherlands, Belgium, France and Germany. Incidentally, I visit other places (in 1996 I went to Poland). The past years I collected all kind of fossils, like fossil teeth of sharks and rays, Carboniferous plants, fossil snails and shells, fossil brachiopods, ammonites and belemnites, fossil sea-urchins, fossil corals, et cetera. Due to a lack of time and space, nowadays I restrict the collecting more and more to fossil teeth of sharks and rays, and fossil sea-urchins. One of my latest projects is about Fossil sharks and rays from the Cretaceous of the Netherlands .
